TRAPANI FILM FESTIVAL 2026

The Trapani Film Festival enters its fourth year with the strength of those who consciously choose to return to their origins.

This return is not a step backward, but an act of identity and cultural resistance.

At a challenging time for the audiovisual sector—marked by Italian government cuts to cinema the artistic direction has decided to refocus on what gave life to the festival from the very beginning: independent cinema.

Unfettered stories, bold perspectives, and autonomous productions that safeguard the most authentic soul of filmmaking.

It is a political choice in the highest sense of the term: making space for those who create without compromise, for those who experiment, and for those who tell the story of the present with urgency and truth.

This fourth year is, therefore, a return to our origins, yet without forgetting the deep roots that bind us to the local area.

The festival’s new logo serves as a visual synthesis of this: it speaks of belonging, memory, and Mediterranean identity.

Above all, it tells a story of hope.

At its center lies coral—a precious symbol of our sea and the beating heart of the festival’s award—which becomes a metaphor for resilience and beauty: fragile yet strong, much like independent cinema itself.

October 2026 is already here.

And with it returns a festival that refuses to compromise its soul, that chooses creative freedom as its compass, and that renews its promise: to be a home for cinema that dares, explores, and stirs the emotions.

The Trapani Film Festival returns to its roots.

And from there, it starts anew—more vibrant than ever.

From October 8th to 11th, the Province of Trapani once again becomes the HOME OF CINEMA.

See you at the Cine Teatro Ariston!

And beyond.
